2. While I support her in her pride and desire to show it, the cap and gown is also a uniform.

5. No, by going to the media she bullied them into this...
This is the same kind of shit that we had to endure under Bush when anyone who questioned the disastrous Iraq policy was branded "un-American."

4. Thanks for posting
Guess they got sick of the phone calls/emails. Local talk radio bullied them today.

I was surprised with all the rah rah in this country with military the HS was so rigid.

Personally I don't see the big deal everyone made over it. Who cares if it's cap and gown or a military uniform.

While I don't agree most of the time the way our military is used or even with a lot of boot camp/training methods I think the individual kid who gets through boot has really accomplished something and has a right to be proud of the uniform.

I'm going to post this link with thread I started.

6. So the question becomes
if I wear a pair of shorts and a tee shirt and say I'm proud of dressing this way they can't stop me since they opened the door.

7. No because I'd bet they limit to a dress military uniform other than cap n' gown
Try doing in shorts & t-shirt & talk radio will blow the other way.
