Baby Russert: Weiner doesn't have the "skill set" to find a job in the private sector
and that is one of the reasons why he can't resign. According to Russert, he's been in congress since the '80s and doesn't have an advanced degree. His only career path outside of the congress would be left wing blogging. Just heard on MSNBC.

1. Baby Russert talking about getting a job
is a bit like Donald Trump talking about how to become a millionaire.

35. Weiner MAY not have the skills to find a job, but we all know that
Luke DEFINITELY doesn't have the skills to find a job in the private sector. I think Russert just showed us a classic case of "Pot, meet Kettle."

11. This little shit infuriates me more than anyone else
in the media, even the usual-suspect butt nuggets like Rushbo, Insannity, O'Loofah, et al.

This PUNK has NO qualifications for the position he holds other than his last name. He is the most pathetic example of nepotism and connections trumping talent that I have ever seen. If this were a just world, a piano would fall on this spoiled brat in the fashion of Daffy Duck, who, by the way would make a better journalist then Baby Russert. If his old man hadn't been a famous corporate apple-polisher for decades this turd would be the third string sports reporter for a teevee station in North Dakota. :nuke: :grr:

33. I can think of quite a few
For one, he could be a talking head, much like Spitzer or Gingrich Scandal didn't stop them. Or like a half a dozen ex-pols who are invited to give their political opinions on current political events. He certainly could write a book, that would bring in a lot of money. Right now, unlike a lot of other politicians, he isn't rolling in the dough. That's another thing I like about him. But he certainly doesn't lack skills.

I think he could go into Urban planning, I think that suits him best. He's always been very involved in providing services and housing to low-income people. He's consistently argued and voted in favor of funding non-profit groups that help the poor, and people at the community centers seem to value this aspect the most. Right now a lot of these programs are in danger of being cut. One of the reasons I want him to remain, we need someone to fight for them. But if that doesn't happen, I think there is a lot of good he can accomplish for that area, because he's had the experience.

He does have a college degree & has sat on the Committee on Energy and Commerce and the Subcommittee on Health, so he has background in both fields and could find work in either one. He was a very active proponent for health care for 9/11 responders, and there is a lot of work yet to been done in getting that straightened out as well. His efforts were very much appreciated and won't be forgotten.

I think he has a lot of choices, but i'm hoping he stays with his current job.

46. pretty sure he could do
janitorial, factory, retail - any of the jobs I have had since getting out of college. As a Congressman he has managerial experience with his staff and has been through many campaigns, which is no small feat. Maybe he had campaign staff doing much of the work, but ultimately he was in charge of those campaigns. People who want to disparage THAT skill set have obviously never tried it. I have tried it and will testify - a) it is a heck of a lot of work, b) it takes a heck of a lot of organization and planning. Further, he needs to be able to stand in front of crowds of people and answer questions on a variety of topics. I would not say that somebody who has been elected to Congress is lacking in skills.

He is becoming a little too "smart". Yesterday, he

on Monday, he *Russer) will be leading journalists to
keep the story going, hanging outside Weirner's office.

It is beginning to took it is the Journalists trying

54. Why doesn't baby Russert run for Congress and let the people
decide what HIS skill sets are to get himself elected.

He apparently didn't have the skill sets to earn the job, he was chosen because of his daddy.

Weiner otoh, was elected by a majority of the people in his Dist. seven times so far and apparently will be again according to the polls.

Russert just proved why it is never a good idea to give someone a job because of their family name without knowing or caring about their 'skill sets' to do that job.

Fire him! Nepotism is an unfair hiring practice which blocks real talent from getting the job.

And we all suffer for that.

how many congresscritters DO have a skill set that would translate to the real world? After all, the country only needs so many used car salesmen. I've never seen a want ad (even back when there were want ads) for a "Professional Butt-Cheek Inhaler," either.

There's a reason the political welfare class fights like like hell to get elected and then fights like hell to stay elected, and in most cases, it ain't altruism.

I was not a fan of his dad when he was alive but I've heard stuff about him since that makes me think more highly of him. Plus, if you see what his replacement did with MTP you begin to recognize at least Tim asked a tough question once in a while and he occasionally had dems on his show.

But his son really shouldn't be saying stuff like that.

I mean, to know that a PROGRESSIVE Congressman can't go get on the payroll at a lobbying/consultant firm like the republicans do when they are driven out of office.

Makes me feel good that he hasn't done ENOUGH favors for the rich and powerful.

Oh and by the way--your Dad has been gone a respectable amount of time for me to say this.

He sucked as a "journalist" and you suck as a "journalist"...no doubt your next job will be for some high profit entity whose water you carry daily.

Baby Russert must come from the "make it up as you go" school.

as Bartcop might say:

Clinton's cock, Clinton's cock, Clinton's cock, Clinton's cock,
Clinton's cock, Clinton's cock, Clinton's cock, Clinton's cock,
Clinton's cock, Clinton's cock, Clinton's cock, Clinton's cock,

85. And Luke Russert would have his job if his father hadn't been Tim Russert.
Not a snowball's chance.

I wonder if he feels the tiniest bit hypocritical saying stuff like that?

86. Baby Russert should HAVE a job ahead
of other college grads who may have been eminently more qualified to be a tv reporter EXCEPT their dad didn't work for NBC! He's a fraud!!!

88. "Baby Russert?"
Is that really necessary? Half the people in the media got their jobs via some sort of inside connection. As someone who misses the hell out of the kid's father, I think that's a bit disrspectful to his memory.
