1. Not me. We have a terrific congresswoman in my district.

Our state legislators are outstanding, too. Besides, my wife says she'd kill me if I ran.

3. After Weiner, I wouldn't blame anyone for never wanting to run as a progressive
They're bound to find something against you, and it doesn't even have to be a serious transgression--and there will be people on this forum who will applaud those who expose them.

4. No. Aside from being an open atheist...
I have far worse things easily found that I have done... and am... and still do... and enjoy :D

6. It's more fun to give expert advice on DU than actually run for anything
silly boy.

7. I've got a tolerable rep that isn't scared of supporting Democratic policies in Kentucky.
I also would be shot over my energy, health, and civil liberties positions.

I'm also no interested in hobnobbing and fundraising. I'm no use under the current paradigm. The money aspect is not a mesh for many reasons.

8. I've been disqualified
I just found out the shocking news that I am naked underneath my clothes! A scandal of epic, nay biblical proportions would derail my candidacy before I even got started once the news leaked out.

9. I am, but I am also hoping we have a much stronger candidate who will
If, however, he, or someone similar like the State Senator who started to run last time, but withdrew (and probably will not this time because even a campaign would mean she was giving up the Senate seat, whereas she can run in 2014 and keep the Senate seat).
then I am prepared to step up again. To that end, I have kept up the website http://www.koch2congress.com/ and am still going around the district a little. People have complained that the Kansas Democratic Party has no bench. I see myself as part of that bench, trying to stay warmed up just in case one of the starters injures his/her shoulder.

10. Considering that if you are a Democrat you need to live a chaste and pious lifestyle...
... in order to keep your seat...

... and then you consider I'm a lesbian who in my younger years was promiscous, experimented with drugs, and have numerous drunken photos circulating around a vast network of friends... I'm pretty sure I'd be dead before I got out of the gate.

Real people shouldn't run for Congress. It'll ruin you.

13. What for? I'm sure they'd find some reason why I'm objectionable.
Like my being a socialist for starters. At any rate, I've got my studies at the top of my list of things that need to get done.

I'm not married, straight or monogamous.

And there's nude pictures of me out there somewhere.

I'm too sexy for my (D).

I could probably have run with that as an (R) if I had been a man, but I'm too female/liberal/atheist for (R).
