1. Its all about the money. Jane Hamsher is bought and paid for. . .
. . .that is all.

2. They must not know where to look.
How's that peace dividend doing, anyway?

The one from the end of the Cold War.

4. That's absurd. Of course they recognize a difference.
Republicans are allies and Democrats are enemies.

19. Keep hammering that strawman!
After all, gotta obfuscate the fact that there's a one-way, constant drumbeat of fact-free smears against Obama and almost all other elected Democrats coming from a micro-minority that thinks they ARE "the left," despite rubbing elbows with Grover Norquist, taking money from Republican candidates, and putting up third-party spoilers.

22. I've never been to FDL once, have no idea what Jane Hamsher even looks like..
Never met Grover Norquist and I damn sure ain't taking any money from Republicans, I wouldn't be living in a fucking camper if I was.

If I wanted to belong to a party that demanded lockstep agreement with every single position of the leader I'd be a Republican and I wouldn't be posting here.

I was a proud ten percenter that didn't think the sun shone out of Bush's ass in 2001 and I don't think the sun shines out of Obama's ass today.

Is Obama better than Bush, certainly, but that's setting the damn bar so low you'd need an excavator to even see it. The phrase "damning with faint praise" comes to mind.

My love interest is neither although he is more on the liberal side. He says as long as this is only a two party system we truely do not have choices. I'm dyed in the wool.

12. Tell Attorney General Holder: Keep Obama’s Promise and Respect State Medical Marijuana Laws
Attorney General Eric Holder is set to “clarify” his department’s stance on state medical marijuana laws in light of an increasing number of raids and threats against patients, caregivers and even state employees.

Shortly after President Obama took office in 2009, Attorney General Eric Holder issued his now infamous “Ogden memo.” In this memo, Holder ordered US Attorneys General to stop federal prosecutions of patients and caregivers in states where medical marijuana has been legalized.

But in recent months, these same US AG’s have unleashed an intense campaign of violence and intimidation on patients and caregivers. It seems as though, despite Holder’s clear directive two years ago, federal prosecutors are either confused about the department’s stance or have gone completely rogue.

The stories won’t stop piling up: the 26 year old Iraq War veteran gunned down by a SWAT team in Arizona during a botched raid in which no illegal evidence was uncovered; 28 raids in under 24 hours across Montana and California, crippling businesses and putting patients’ health and well-being in danger; threats to prosecute state employees for doing their jobs and implementing state law; and on, and on, and on.

Nothing Can Stop Obama From Adjourning Congress, Making Recess Appointments

According to Public Citizen, there’s nothing stopping the President from circumventing the Congress for recess appointments of key positions, including Elizabeth Warren for the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. And they have the Constitutional passages to prove it.

(snip)

If the President wants to stretch executive power in the area of warmaking, the least he could do is be consistent and not even stretch but use the power granted to him under the Constitution.

17. I've got this one bra -
that is bugging the crap out of me. They tend to not use cotton thread anymore and instead use some sort of polyester thread that is just short of fishing line - that stuff breaks any and the ends can just start digging into right into you. I've been working on one end that has been scrapping away at my left boob all day. I keep going to the bathroom to see if I can find the offending bit but no luck -- I can't find it for the life of me. I finally grabbed some TP and made a cute little pillow that I've now lodged in my cup and is doing a great job of keeping the scratchy bit at bay. It looks like it's gonna be New Bra Day pretty soon. Now I just have to find one that is made with something other than that damned thread/fishing line. It's gonna be tough.
