If Bachmann does well in the next couple of months, or if Caribou Barbie officially announces, he'll keep his powder dry, and maybe hope for a VP nod from the eventual nominee, especially if it's Mitt. If Mitt gets it, he's going to have to pick a fundie for VP, just to have a shot in hell of keeping at least some of the bible belters on board.

However, if Palin stays out, and Bachmann falters by Labor Day, he's in.

10. I'd say more likely than not.
He would the only Southerner and only incumbent governor among the top-tier candidates, huge advantages in the GOP primaries.

If Pawlenty/Huntsman fizzle, Perry could become the not-Romney candidate.
