Toms Shoes Founder Might Have Different Political Views Than Many People Wearing His Shoes
Source: New York Magazine

Vogue-approved Blake Mycoskie, who came up with the idea to donate a pair of shoes to a needy child for every one sold, is apparently a Focus on the Family supporter. That's an affiliation that's sure to irk many of the hipster types who have proudly sported the brand in recent years as a sort of crunchy alternative to Chuck Taylors.

2. His company's business model revolves around exploiting poverty as an advertisement proposition
to earn a nice profit.

The news would be if this business darling wasn't a self righteous narcissistic fundie.

3. I don't buy his shoes, never have.
But donating shoes is still a nice thing to do -- as long as there are no strings attached

6. I donate shoes right here in America
I donate anything I can to our local homeless shelter, since I can't make financial donations. This way, I know these things are going to people who need help. :)
