1. Not only that, it was Ronald Reagan who got us here. We were the greatest
creditor nation before him. He was the first to ask for a raise in the debt ceiling!

2. Obviously I am no admirer of Reagan or his policies
but he did not shovel other people's crap, and that includes the people on our side.

At a certain point, Reagan would invoke the 14th Amendment and tell his opponents to go to Hell---with a smile on his face, of course.

4. Reagan broke the Democrats and unions
largely because they over stepped and Reagan did not flinch. Obama is in a position to do the same thing ... the Republicans have clearly over stepped, and he does not appear to be in the mood to flinch. And I think that was the discrete subtext he was sending.

Kinda nice to see that side of him ...

6. reagan raised taxes and the debt ceiling!
these new republicans are just plain assholes compared to reagan. privately tip o`neal and reagan got along because they were old irish guys who respected each other and they knew if something had to be done it was up to them.

these new guys are racists pricks who want the house boy out of their white house and they are willing to destroy our country to get it done.

7. Plus the fact that Lord Reagan of the GOP raised taxes 11 times while he was President!!
And the Democrats in Congress also agreed to raise the debt ceiling 4 different times, to prove that SUPPLY SIDE ECONOMICS DOES NOT WORK!!!!
