5. The sentiments expressed in this old DU thread re the 'pledge'
are not uncommon here on DU. One wonders why there is now agreement with Ms Boxer over an allegiance pledge to a flag.

6. I believe Grover is feeling the heat.
He gave House Republicans an out on allowing the Bush tax cuts to expire. He needs to feel some heat. I think some good advice would be, "Never encourage zealots to sign a pledge."
