Freeper John Galt gets visit from FBI
Edited on Sun Jul-31-11 12:59 AM by grasswire
Just received a visit from the FBI
7/30/2011 | John Galt - psuedoname

Posted on Saturday, July 30, 2011 6:17:27 PM by jongaltsr

A couple of hours ago receive a hard knock on the door. I answered the door and about 7 or 8 agents all flashing badges (claiming to be FBI and/or CIA) rushed me and pushed me against the far wall.

My dog attacked and they would have shot him had I not broken free for a second and covered him by laying him on the floor beneath me.

After things calmed down a bit and I received assurances that nothing would happen to him if I placed him in the bedroom and closed the door.

I did so and they then read me my rights and explained that my opinions expressed on Free Republic were the reason they were there. I had expressed my opinion of what I thought of the current President and the majority in congress and was therefore a potential threat to the government. After what seemed to be hours they came to the conclusion (I hope) that I was merely expressing my opinion and not a leader of a counter revolutionary army - as they saw it.

They searched my apartment for weapons and found 4 (which I have not fired in over a year or more) and they seized them for testing. My dog (Ranger) was not happy with the situation so I had to hold on to him during the search to keep him from being shot.

They also seized my computer and downloaded my entire files system. I suppose they also copied any files erased by normal erasure techniques. They returned the computer as "WAS" (as far as I can tell) but I after careful consideration the past few hours I have concluded that they are monitoring me closely.

I'm not even sure this message will make it through but what else can I do but try?

If (Big IF!) this does make it through, beware. They are watching and may make a visit to your residence and give your the same routine.

It really shook me up and I have trouble keeping my nerves steady and my thoughts straight as I write this message.

Once this gets out (IF THIS GETS OUT) I can pretty much expect their return but this time they probably won't be quite as considerate of myself and my dog who they will probably shoot on sight.

I have packed my truck with essentials but I suspect that there are those that are watching so I may not make it to one of my favorite mountain camping sites.

There I will not have any communications except when I get into town and use WIFI to make any contact.

Good luck and keep your heads down.

They have become serious about enforcing their new powers - and some of us might not make it.

I'll probably be #1 on their list.

Semper Fi and God Bless one and all.

(Guess I chose my alias correctly) (John Galt_

6. I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure the CIA isn't allowed to operate in the U.S.
That is the FBI's territory and I don't think they'd be happy if the CIA was on their turf. I could be wrong but agencies like this are normally fairly territorial.

56. Still, it's a pretty far stretch to imagine the CIA acting in an "official capacity"...
such as this. No doubt that the CIA acts in this country, alright, but you would never know about it, nor would Mr. Freeper. They would never walk up to someone's door and announce they are CIA agents and "flash their badges". Sheez!

They might do some surreptitious "ensnaring" of a "target", but they would certainly never let that target know that it is the CIA doing it, especially, they would never act in any such "official" manner.

Unlike the FBI, CIA operatives don't have badges and can't claim jurisdiction at crime.

They do however, carry some form of ID.

"we need to “ELIMINATE” all those that do not understand the constitution and implication.
Hang all that are self important from the trees in front of the congress and let their body’s (Bones) remain as reminders to those that follow what will happen to those that follow that do not mind the intent and constructions of the “Constitution” and the rights of the individual."

Sooooo....what should law enforcement do when a guy who proclaims he is "ex military" and has lots of guns posts crap like that? If he is serious take his guns away at least. If he is being a Freeper Diva? Then at least fine his ass the cost the agency had to incur to go to his redneck home.

the hundreds of comments that followed are very very funny also. Keep in mind that this happened before-Freeper ville got itself in trouble with threats to Clinton in the late 90s

19. Lies, all lies.
He "broke free". Sure he did. FBI and CIA? get real. This is somebody's fever dream.

In a couple hours, by his own account, the FBI raided his house, subdued him, let him escape, let him put his dog in the bedroom, seized his computer, searched his house for weapons while they let him hold his dog, examined all his computer files, returned his computer, and then he packed his truck. All in a couple of hours. Right. Like that's firmly grounded in reality. NOT.

This story is so contrary to the limitations of reality that it's an obvious fabrication.

And I didn't buy the not shooting the dog part either. Or the "breaking free" (and not getting shot) part.

Rather creative for a freeper, but entirely unbelievable. Interesting, even a forum of trolls has trolls of its own.

I find the image rather amusing, though. Guys dressed in black with sunglasses and guns kick down the door and come in, "FBI and/or CIA! Freeze! Jump on the dog or we'll shoot it!"

43. As if he was being read his "Miranda" rights, he would have also been placed under arrest and cuffed
what a crock, very poorly done in fabricating that fantasy.

The "CIA" told him to put "Ranger" in a room and close the door, which he claims that he complied... BUT then he goes on to post that he had to hold onto his pet so that it wouldn't attack them?

Downloaded his entire HDD within that VERY short period of time, and then gave him his computer back? Where and what did they use to perform that task so quickly with? If it was true they would have confiscated it (at least overnight) in order to more thoroughly search for hidden files and try to recover any that may have been deleted...lol.

46. His time frames clash:
Edited on Sun Jul-31-11 03:23 AM by tblue37
A couple of hours ago receive a hard knock on the door.

<snip>

They returned the computer as "WAS" (as far as I can tell) but I after careful consideration the past few hours I have concluded that they are monitoring me closely.
Also, don't they only read one's rights when making an arrest? A "visit" and a search are not the same as an arrest.

Oh, and the other FReepers' posts indicate that the guy had been posting on various threads every few minutes for the previous hour and a half before ever mentioning the visit from the MIB that had occurred just 2 hours prior to the post about the visit.

I looked--couldn't help myself. He did post trivila comments on a variety of threads every few minutes from 6:37 to when he claimed at 8:17 that he had received the visit "a couple of horus ago."

This moran says he was read his rights (but not arrested?) for speaking his mind about the president and the "majority" of congress.

Hell, that's any typical post around here lately. Hahahaha

88. A freeper MAKES UP A STORY, and can play it out however he wants, and he STILL sounds like a WATB.
Edited on Sun Jul-31-11 09:02 AM by Brickbat
He could have made himself out to be someone who will fearlessly challenge "hard knockers" to break down the door their own damn selves, who will selflessly throw himself upon his dogs to protect it from machine-gun-wielding Black Ops FBI and/or CIA agents, who will demand to see the authority of said agents before he lets them into his (rented) personal property --

Nope, even when a freeper makes up a story, he's still a cowardly keyboard commando. Haven't fired your guns in over a year? BAD FREEPER!

that would bring the wrath of god upon him. His comment was "I had expressed my opinion of what I thought of the current President and the majority in congress". Sounds like it wasn't a big deal, but then again.....

I wish they would really do this to these whackjobs. Can't be true, or many here would have been in secret prisons long ago.
