I just "unsubscribed" from White House e-mails
What about you? If we all unsubscribe in a short period of time, would they take notice? I am really done.

1. I did that a few months ago.
So, I know how you feel.

I actually disenrolled from the Democratic Party shortly after Obama took office - a ConLaw instructor defending "prolonged detention" (denial of habeas corpus rights) did it for me.

33. 30,000 people unsubscribed from Obama's twitter feed on Friday. It made the news... Your thoughts?

10. If Bernie were a better leader
wouldn't he be more than the sole socialist in Congress?

You trust Bernie, even though he voted for Obama's health plan?

If it were just Bernie proposing this compromise with Republican Congress, you could go along with it, due to trust of him?

Do Bernie's emails ask for support in progressive policies? Or just trash Obama?

16. Yep I trust Bernie. I have no problem if I have
to disagree with him. Yes Bernie's emails ask for support in progressive policies. God himself could support this capitulation with the pukes and I will have not one ounce of hesitation in being against it. republican values go against my values and if you read a few words of Gods son, he is against them too.

politicians.

He's still a politician.

14. I unsubscribed last week. I understand his twitter following has taken a real drop off too.
Which sounds like he is losing the young voters

17. No he is NOT losing young voters.
Folks unsubscribed because the WH was sending out too many tweets all at once.
Some folks don't like a huge stream of tweets showing up in their feed all at once.
It has NOTHING to do with support.

SNIP

... the aides operating the @BarackObama account on Twitter began tweeting out the Twitter handles of GOP lawmakers. Starting with Alaska’s @LisaMurkowski and ending with Wyoming’s @CynthiaLummis, the account sent out 113 tweets from 12:42 to 5:49 p.m. yesterday.

p.s. He will get the majority of them back :)
The WH will just have to remember not to send out so many tweets within such a short period of time.

heaped upon you in this thread discourage you from following your own innermost convictions and principles.

There are people here who follow their leader no matter how often he betrays them and reneges on his own campaign promises. This is group-think herd mentality, and it borders on idolatry if you ask me.

35. Most of them already wind up in spam filters anyway
I've got a lot of expertise in email deliverability, and the official campaign email messages are so defective (they include image links to a blacklisted server) that they wind up with very high "SpamAssassin" scores and trigger other spam tests, thus winding up in the spam folders of a large number of the intended recipients.

I tried contacting someone from the Obama campaign, but that was a waste of time (no phone numbers, no response to email), so I started working on alerting someone at Blue State Digital (they contract with lots of Democratic campaigns). I finally got a live person there who believed me, and she said she had sent my info on to the Obama campaign, but nothing has changed and they didn't contact me, and the email messages still have the same spam profile problems.

I guess I'm done trying to help them get their messages delivered.
