What has happened w/ the debt ceiling /ss cuts thing ?

I see a lot of threads talking about all that has been lost and who did or didn't do whatever, but I can't find anything here or elswhere on what actually happened.

Clueless in California. Please help. :shrug:

I can't figure it out either. I got told to read up on my history and that social security was the result of 30 yrs work. Never got a straight answer, though.

hell, I knew as soon as the election were over in November that we'd have hell to pay. It always happens when the team fights among themselves. :shrug:

Thanks for the heads up though, I'll try not to worry until I know what's really going on.
