14. LOL
Best damn drug yet. So good the feds made them quite making them here. I understand they are still available in Europe but I've not seen a 714 in 25 maybe 30 years.

Take one and sleep like a baby for 10 maybe 12 hours but take a half and when you feel that half coming on take another half and on and on until you've got a couple or so in your system and then you could partee down for hours. best damn high of my youth.

30. Those were the daze
I remember taking some with friends, and they had room mates that they wanted them to move. We partied with 714 Lemons and woke up to find the room mates moved out as we were all crashed in the living room. We never heard them once. LOL! And we used to crush them up and sprinkle them in a bong with weed and smoke it.

Edited on Sat Aug-13-11 07:36 PM by The Velveteen Ocelot
in presidential elections. While it gives winners some advantage in winning the Iowa caucuses, that advantage does not seem to help them win the big one. Only George Bush (the younger) won the Iowa straw poll and eventually went on to "win" the presidential election. So don't buy your airline tickets just yet.

10. No matter how bad the economy is by Nov 2012, America will not vote for her
I feel quite safe in saying that. Notice how I didn't use insults about her bugged-out crazy eyes, her husband, and I didn't call her the Chicken Lady, or anything like that?

Bachmann is super scary, and just the thought of her as the actual nominee of one of the two parties is scary, but she will not be elected President no matter what happens between now and election day. Not a chance.

states seceding from Washington, D. C.. Oh yes and we will take our Constitution with us. Everything else will have to be reformed from scratch. She can then govern her own little city state any way she wants. Any Washingtonians who don't want to live there anymore are welcome in the New States of America.

btw For those who take everything literally, I am being ironic.

19. I can't see the GOP nominating a woman
Too many of the "insider" books on conservative politics are flooded with anecdotes regarding hatred of women in high office. By all accounts, the right wing magazines sell highest when a woman is mocked on the cover.

They used Palin for VP but I don't think the consensus within their party is that she was a benefit to McCain. Plus last year two of their embarrassments were Christine O'Donnell and Sharron Angle.

Last week during the Wisconsin recall elections I took note that 5 of our 6 nominees were women. That's a difference between the two parties. The GOP would never have fielded a slate like that.

would vote for her. I really do not understand some people in this country. What has to happen to enlighten some people? A great depression? Bad times though only breed more ignorance, hate, fear, and extremism. I really cannot understand it. I cannot understand how 80-90% of people cannot see what the tea party is and cannot see that they will drag this country further downhill. I sometimes wish these tea partiers would all flock to South Carolina and possibly a few other states and secede and we could be well rid of them.

I will not be surprised to learn that regular posting on DU won many of us inclusion on the exponentially-growing no-fly list. Telling the truth or questioning the official lie are probably the two largest-represented "offenses" on that list.

And then there's the problem of finding a place to go. Who wants to take in the ignorant, indifferent people who failed to defend their democracy and therefore condemned the entire world to collapse?
