Campaign launched to keep Congress on straight and narrow (the Buy American Project!)

By Roger Simmermaker

How can you support the Buy American cause, get American-made products in return, and gain a voice – joined together with other like-minded Americans – in the halls of Congress that can both help create and influence "Buy American" legislation?

By joining the Buy American Project: http://www.buyamericanproject.org/

So why is this new, non-profit organization called the "Buy American Project?"

Because we've got work to do! If you've heard about the challenges facing American manufacturing or seen some of the anti-Buy American legislation coming out of Congress, then you know this to be true.

The founders of the Buy American Project – who are all actively involved with making or promoting American-made products with their respective, privately owned small businesses – formed the Buy American Project because we all wanted to do more to support the American economy.

3. Instead of shelling out my money to BuyAmericanProject.com I'd prefer to support America by, you kno
w....spending that money on things made here in America.
Also, I'm not seeing many references to this project elsewhere online.
Which kind of bothers me. No secondary sources...
But, thanks for posting!
K&R!

4. I truly tried to buy USA products, yesterday...
but every store I went into had China, Taiwan, Vietnam products. I looked in four stores for Made in USA skillets, just to use for fixing breakfast for one...I didn't want to pay $50 for a celebrity-sponsored skillet, I just wanted a good, reliable skillet. Three hours later, I finally gave in and bought a couple made in China. Kick me! I came home with over $200 worth of merchandise and the only items that were Made in the USA were 4 Corelle bowls.

A gal in one store told me there is a store around here somewhere that sells ONLY Made in USA products, but I've never heard of it. I would gladly shop there. That would be a great idea for a chain. Anyone heard of it?

7. Shopping online makes buying USA products much easier. It also cuts down on impulse purchases and
makes every purchase much more thoughtful.
