Bethesda confirms same-sex marriages for Skyrim
When approached on Twitter by someone who asked on the subject, Hines responded: “Not hush hush, just not making a huge deal out of it. You can marry anyone.”

He later clarified by saying in a further tweet: “Sorry, should clarify. Not any NPC, just mean any male or female. Doesn’t matter what you’re playing.”

Now you can marry a gay Khajiit in the game. Everyone’s a winner.

Video games, having already turned all our children into cold blooded killers, now take aim at family values. :sarcasm:

Good for Bethesda! Now I just hope they don't bow down to the pressure that is sure to follow from the fundies.

1. WOOT
This isn't new, though. Bioware has had same-sex couples since KOTOR. Dragon Age: Origins had full blown sex scenes (well, and then there were the nude porn addons LOL - don't even ask). Dragon Age 2 also had a super sexy pirate chick that you could romance as a female character (which of course, I did). You had 4 that you could romance, two males and two females, and you could romance any of them as either gender.

It's cool though :)

11. Except for SWTOR, which they announced did NOT have any...

...according to mmorpg.com. It seemed to come as a shock to many, and may have had something to do with LucasArts approval (The article I read wasn't certain on that point, and I haven't read an update at this point yet).

Still, good news for Skyrim. :)

13. Actually, I didn't know it when I played it
But then I started picking up a vibe from Juhani, since I was a female Jedi and -poof- I got the romance :D

That was an awesome find for me. My God, though, that was just such an awesome game, too.

7. I myself am super excited for it. I'm so super excited I've already pre-ordered it
Mass Effect allows same-sex couples too.

3. I like that he clarified about it not beng any NPC.
I mean, that would basically be condoning Barbarian/Dragon Turtle love.

4. In a video game?
Seriously, I haven't found anyone to marry in real life.

"marrying" someone in a video game is just to geeky for me, a geek.

10. I know you are writing English, and yet, the meaning of your words escapes me.
Someone, somewhere, can marry a same-sex sweetheart??? That's always wonderful, but I wish I understood the context.
