Who really thinks that Palin wrote her latest "thing*?"
"There is a bittersweet irony that the strength of the American spirit shines brightest in times of tragedy"

Sarah is hardly known for her eloquence and her skill at turning a phrase.

* Sorry I have no idea what to call it.

2. I bet it was one of her advisors.
That is why it took so long. Too much email correspondence required to get to the final version.

4. It is her opening speech for the 2012 Republican Nomination
That is all this is. She couldn't give a flying f*ck about the people of Arizona's 8th, their friends, family, supporters, etc.

This was to difuse her hit map and to look "Presidential". And don't kid yourself, this stupid video will be on every network all day.

6. Or David Frumm
He's been on tv this past week speaking in softer tones. They may have taken his advice from afar for the quote in the OP.

I agree that she's trying to sound presidential and hoping to "one up" on the president who will speak tonight. Coincidence - not. And that's in really poor taste, too. Using this tragedy as sort of presidential debate.

10. Considering she used the term "blood libel" (which means something completely different...)
Yes, I think she wrote it.

(BTW, for those unfamiliar with the term "blood libel", read here- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blood_libel)

12. her use of 'blood libel' is the reason i'm sure she did not write it.
much too erudite for her. she's totally word salad . . . trying to sound more intellectual than she can ever hope to be.
