1. Yep. Classic RW "blame the victim".............
It's also classic capitalist "divide and conquer". Two birds with one stone and all that.

4. Projection definitions

"Projection is the opposite defence mechanism to identification. We project our own unpleasant feelings onto someone else and blame them for having thoughts that we really have."

"A defense mechanism in which the individual attributes to other people impulses and traits that he himself has but cannot accept. It is especially likely to occur when the person lacks insight into his own impulses and traits."

"Attributing one's own undesirable traits to other people or agencies."

"The individual perceives in others the motive he denies having himself.”

11. yes, but I think they know they are doing it, but that the accusations will stick and level the
playing field. It;s not as if the media will call them out.

8. Not to be too high-fallutin' but I think it's the old, "I'm rubber
and you're glue--everything you say bounces off me and sticks to you" ploy.

9. Republicans, for all their condemnation of a "victim mentality," *love* to play the victim card
They're oppressed by the "liberal" media, by "liberal" hollywood, by the "liberal" elites.

They're oppressed by discussions of racism, sexism, and countless other -isms.

Mention class and they immediately cast themselves as refugees in the class war.

And so on.

10. It's the new media narrative
"How dare the LEFT actually try and promote a positive social change, the RIGHT did nothing wrong!"

*Continues aiding and abetting violent, eliminationist rhetoric.*
