Sarah's speech was to make her look like a Statesman, instead she looks like a Madman
MSNBC has shown in in full and several times in sections and I believe after hearing it that their purpose was to head Obama off at the pass and make her appear to be Statesman-like and presidential material. They missed it by so much.

1. Her decision to play the victim while people lie fighting for their lives
was tasteless, to say the least.

7. She had an opportunity to effect positive change and decided to air the poor Sarah
show, instead.

She also supported the ongoing use of deadly rhetoric while claiming that is has no consequences.

4. She also laughably offers that we must fight the tendency to trade freedom for security...
"just like we did after (wait for it) the attacks of 9/11"!

She also offers that we should never allow the actions of disturbed individuals to be blamed on whole groups of people. It is if the first decade of this century has been removed from her memory. She appears to have forgotten the entire GW Bush Administration ever existed. Guantanamo, renditions, warrantless wiretaps, Abu Graib, the Iraq War, the Afghanistan War, killer drones operating in Yemen must not qualify as blaming whole groups of people for the acts of a few madmen.

Her rambling, incoherent speech does make her look quite crazy.

8. She's hideous on the inside
I swear she reminds me of Dean Koontz's goblin characters, human face hiding a monster underneath.

6. Mrs. Palin is no statesman. She is and has always been a demagogue.
I don't think I need to explain that, do I?

I have been simply too upset (although not surprised) at the events of last Saturday and too angry (although not surprised) at the right wing's response since Monday to say anything about either.

10. Her statement should have been "I don't believe my map or comments had
anything to do with the attacks in Tuscon, but all of us on both sides of the aisle need to calm down our comments and tone". It's noncommittal and would appease pretty much everyone.

30 seconds and she's done instead of 7 minutes, there's a reason they say that less is more and now SP knows why.

12. Agreed. Instead she decided to give permission to her minions
to use gun specific rhetoric while a congresswoman and others lie fighting for their lives.

13. When I think of "madmen", I tend to think of Lennon, Lilly, Plath...
..and other people of genius.
Palin makes me think about genes. There is a good reason why she covers her eyes with glasses. They help to distract from her cold, hard eyes.
