I don't even have words for how frustrated and angry that makes me.

1. What are four dead people when we have Sarah Palin?
:sarcasm:

4. Yes, this has been bothering me also and
I posted similar feelings yesterday.

Also, feel terribly sorry for Jared's parents. As a parent I know I've failed at times but, we do try our best. Maybe they did, maybe not. I won't judge them, they're living in their own private hell now without anyone giving a damn.

5. You were expecting maybe "fairness" or "balance?"
Not generally available from any of the major media outlets.

6. I've seen their bios several times
on MSNBC (don't watch any other news or "news" channels.) They've been spoken of with respect and admiration. But yes, I agree, not enough attention (except for little Christina Greene.)

Not much on DU - this site is obsessed with things other than the victims

10. Yeah, it might just be getting overwhelming as to what the news is currently covering
More an emotional post than an objective one, on reflection.

9. I have to give credit to NPR, as they've done extensive stories
on many of the victims.

15. Why don't they interview any of the wounded?
Because MOST of them would say the same thing? That obviously Sarah Palin seems largely to blame, directly, if only in this unique example? That they had become increasingly worried of the breakdown in civility in much political discourse these days, just as that cool Sheriff pointed out?... and that continuing protections for this sort of "free speech" by irresponsible leaders, radio talk show hosts and top journalists and analysts will continue to erode what little civility remains in this failing nation?

Goddamn them. I'm as angry as I was the day it happened.
Especially the little girl. This perfect little 9-year-old wonder; the hope of the world, everything bright and beautiful and innocent. Killed by a pitiful imbecile who could not distinguish dark from light, up from down, good from bad... who knew only what he learned from Fox News Network.
Collateral damage in the Republican War on Reality Itself.
I know I'm not supposed to say it, but goddamn them. They have no souls, no hearts, no spines. They're like demon-people.
I mean verifiably. They embrace every form of evil and violence in their strange pursuit of world domination in the name of Jesus Christ Almighty, while clothing themselves in false virtue, false piety and bullshit patriotism, just as Sarah accused all of us of doing this morning.
IMHO, it's only not cool to call other people Nazis when you're a verifiable NAZI doing it.
They think shared health care for all is evil. EVERYONE ELSE ON THE FACE OF THE EARTH see it as a moral virtue, and recognize it as the only truly cost-effective way of keeping coverage available for all.
So even with issues of morality aside, they oppose something that works, that's PROVEN to work EVERYWHERE ELSE... why? Are they just... mean?
Like this massacre, like the poor folks being denied life-saving transplants in AZ currently, there is cause and effect in their tone, their words and their policies; ultimately, we're talking about people's lives here.
Who's fuckin' evil?

Fuck.

16. Possibly because investigators have asked them not to speak to the media.

It could taint the evidence and eyewitness testimony.
