Sarah Palin - like rape victims. (From Rush)
"(After Saturday’s shooting in Arizona, when Sarah Palin and other conservatives were criticized for using at-times violent political rehtoric, a Time magazine reporter) said, well they should have just turned the other cheek and stopped defending themselves, and they would have shut this thing all down. So yeah, just, that’s what they used to tell women who were raped, wasn’t it? Just sit back and enjoy it, put some ice on it, like Clinton said, put some ice on the lip, you asked for it, your dress asked for it, just sit back and enjoy it. Isn’t that how they used to tell raped women to deal with it?"

Right Rush, Sarah Palin has been violated just the way rapped women have been. I know I shouldn't be, but he never ceases to shock me. What a sick sick fuck he is.

This comparison is so twisted on so many levels. And there are women who follow him. I guess none of them have ever been raped.

15. There was a time in this country,
I think, when society would shun these kind of people. Maybe that was just in the community where I lived. But then, I've lived in Orange County, Ca most of my life, where you would expect the worst. I grew up with racism (my father a Bircher) but I honestly never heard it outside my own home. The county may have been full of hateful bigots but they were never vocal about it.

Now they feel it's ok to say anything. ANYTHING, because there are no consequences - to them.

I'm sorry for what you've been through. Ilsa. I'm glad you can say you're recovered. While I've never been violently raped, I've been violated, more than once, and still have trouble accepting the things that have happened to me. Once, in a hospital while I was sleeping, by a man on the janitorial staff. I woke up to it. The police were called in. They told me it was my word against his and no charges were brought against him. I guess I should have relaxed and enjoyed it. :sarcasm: :grr:

25. society would shun these kind of people..... yes. there was a time, that is gone.
but it was with all the 'isms. i read an article recently. this young woman (girl for me) who allowed a young man (guy) speak to her really poorly. she said it is normal. all guys talk that way.

they didnt in the past. not only would the gal think not much of the guy, but the other guys didnt think much of them either.

now guys compete with each other to see how offensive they can be, and is indicative of their newly developing manhood. i am not hearing a lot of the older men telling them to knock the shit off.... just "feminazis"

18. Actually, rush, your side blames the victims for getting themselves raped.
While discussing the recent rape and murder of 18-year-old Jennifer Moore during the August 2 edition of his nationally syndicated radio show, Bill O'Reilly appeared to suggest that the clothing she was wearing at the time helped incite her killer. O'Reilly discussed several factors that contributed to the "moronic" girl's rape and murder, including that she was drunk and wandering the streets of New York City alone late at night. But in addition to those factors, O'Reilly added: "She was 5-foot-2, 105 pounds, wearing a miniskirt and a halter top with a bare midriff. Now, again, there you go. So every predator in the world is gonna pick that up at 2 in the morning." link

Of course, you, rush, you blame them for being sexually harassed. I'd hate to hear what you had to say about being raped. Did you ever figure out the difference, rush, between sexual harassment and the "mating game"?

While waiting for an interview with New York Jets Quarterback Mark Sanchez last Saturday, TV Azteca reporter Ines Sainz was harrassed with “catcalls, whistling, extended stares by the players” and was subjected to “grotesque” locker room antics. While the sexual harassment spurred Jets owner Woody Johnson to offer an immediate “open apology” and the NFL to investigate the charges, Sainz’s situation motivated failed NFL-commentator and hate radio host Rush Limbaugh to launch into a sexist rant today against “bootylicious” Sainz for “doing what she was born knowing to do” to “get access for her job”:

She knows she has ass-ets. (Rush really stretched out that first syllable.) . . . Boob-alicious, booty-licious, whatever you want to call it, she’s got it.”

Referencing celebrating “Love Your Body Day,” he said: “As far as I can tell, Ines celebrates her body daily, not just once a year . . . The team was celebrating her body.”

Trying to connect the dots between Sainz’s interview with Mark Sanchez and the Jets QB’s horrific game last night: “You remember what Delilah did to Sampson.”
