There's no stopping the Occupy Wall Street protests breaking out in New York City and in cities across the United States.

The truth is that 99 percent of the American Public support these protests and will join them.

Torturing people won't stop it. And, just how many millions of Americans does the American police state intend to jail for protesting overt bankster corporate fraud?

This is our country, and there's no stopping what has begun. We are taking our country back from organized criminals.

Who has control of our MIC? Corporations, I think!

And though people themselves create an economy between themselves we have the fakery of

private banks controlling our economic policy, job goals, bail outs!

And a new Super Congress on the way to make everything even more of an "immaculate

conception" - !!


We had Obama alone involved in back room deals with Big Pharma and private H/C

industry - and negotiating with the GOP leadership on budget deals that Harry Reid

wasn't even privvy to!!


Everything has been taken into back rooms and/or to "higher" levels where the public

is shut out -- even Congress is shut out, but I guess that's the way they want it

anyway?

After all, if you SELL yourself to corporations you don't really want to get caught

legislating for them???

11. Suppose they are making so many arrests so they can fine them to help
pay for the extra costs they've incurred? What are they fining them? If they blocked them on the bridge, it's as though they were corraling them on purpose.

I can't imagine. Why couldn't they leave them in the park area? They weren't hurting anyone except for the Wall Street employees who had to watch them. Did they make them nervous?

Are the Marines still appearing? If so, it should be within the hour.

15. They're probably making these arrests for the reason they always do:
It gets the protesters off the street for up to
72 hours and breaks the momentum of the protesters.

Most of the charges will be dismissed before going
to trial or lose at trial.

36. Sadly, they seem to think that their paychecks are too small or...
... that their jobs were shipped overseas, because CORPORATE TAXES are too high, or because teachers get summers off, or because state workers have pensions... when the answer is simply that they are underpaid because most of the money has been sucked into only one tiny part of the country's socio-economic structure.

52. This protest is not partisan - it is the workers waking up and realizing they are owned by 1% of the
population, and that there are many more of us in the 99% (duh).

I welcome republican and libertarian workers - come protest with us. Occupy Houston on Oct. 6th.

They know the economy is fucked and this is a good opportunity for them to be educated as to WHY that has happened.

One of the least intelligent things I constantly hear from the many on the so-called American left is the constant calling of libertarians 'the rich white man's anarchy'. If this was indeed the case, hundreds of millions would be flowing into their coffers from the multi-national corporations. The last thing the systemic controllers want is a 'level playing field'. The hate competition, and use the government to regulate their rivals, and crush small and mid-size firms. This is the enduring legacy of the so-called progressive era of Teddy Roosevelt and Woodrow Wilson.

The tragedy of it all is that false framing, massive political posturing, and deliberate mis-representations and attributions have led up to a point where both the false-left (ie most USA Democrats) and false right (ie most USA Republicans) have come to be associated with completely bastardized versions of economics. BOTH parties are, at their core, fascistic corporatists, and simply maintain a continuity of agenda of wealth and power consolidation for their banking and multinational corporate overlords.

Fascist scum like the Koch brothers have misappropriated certain parts of Austrian economics, taking out the parts that show disastrous failures in certain Keynesian models, but NEVER giving up their pure intent of oligarchy. Remember, Austrians, real Austrians, are much, much more into predictive theory, NOT political false posturing. Most people who try to do even a semi-deep dive into our global madness get gate-kepted by false dogma before they realize this.¨

The same misappropriation occurs from the left, and clouds what actually happened during the seminal Progressive era. I tend to agree wholeheartedly with New Left historian Gabriel Kolko in his book "The Triumph of Conservatism: A Reinterpretation of American History, 1900-1916."

In it, he lays out a case for the rise of modern corporatist system during the Progressive Era. This in turn, allows for the violation a large principle – No socialization of losses and privatization of gains (ie the confluence of big business and big government in mutual reinforcement).

This behavior is known as corporatism, but Kolko dubbed it "political capitalism." Kolko's thesis "that businessmen favored government regulation because they feared competition and desired to forge a government-business coalition" is one that is echoed by many observers today . Former Harvard professor Paul H. Weaver uncovered the same inefficient and bureaucratic behavior from corporations during his stint at Ford Motor Corporation (see Weaver's The Suicidal Corporation <1988>

This IS the beginning of the end... but it is not the end of the beginning.

These best thing about these protests is that they prove that Americans are awake, and that we will fight. There is much to learn, but the occupations show that we are ready to learn. The protests themselves are simply an indication of the increasing indignation of the 99%. If played correctly, this can be a defibrillator used on the class-unconscious American public. If not, it will remain stewing chaos, waiting for conclusions to be drawn and new organizations to spring up.

I also gave them my suggestions for ten word sentences explaning why the protests are happening and what the protestors want.

Get them to arrest so many people that the system can no longer house or feed them all! The gravy train is stopping and the 1% had best get used to this new reality - the old order is dying fast and ugly and its never going back to 'business as usual' in our lifetimes. The rape and pillaging of the 99% is OVER. IF they wish to escape with their lives, then peaceful acceptance of this reality is their choice. They may mistakenly decide that force is their answer, but math does not lie. 400 families cannot hold sway over 300,000,000 people no matter how much they might have convinced themselves that are 'masters of the universe'.

Turn out the lights, the party's over folks. Time to pay the bill. And we, the 99%, are not going to go quietly into that good night.

Something that I thought would never happen here until this started gaining traction:

A general strike.


Granted it's got a long way to go before it reaches that level, but I could actually see a pathway for that to happen now. All those wall streeters are trying to go galt on us, trying to drive the economy in to the ground unless they get what they want. It's time to remind them of exactly who needs who in this situation.
