Sandusky accuser’s mom says boy’s school principal refused to call police.

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (KSNV) -- The mother of one of the alleged victims in the Penn State sex abuse scandal is speaking out publicly for the first time. She said that she found out about the alleged abuse when her son's school principal called her in.

"They told me my son had said some things. That there was a problem with Jerry,” said the boy’s mother, who spoke anonymously because she didn’t want to be thrown into the public spotlight. “He didn't really admit anything at that point, he just said he needed to tell someone or it would get worse. Then the principal said oh, ‘you know, Jerry has a heart of gold.’”

The mother said that her pleas that police be brought into the issue were ignored.

"I said it three times, 'call the police right now,'” she said. ”They said no, I needed to think about the ramifications about what'would happen if I did that."

And this is the case where the "missing" prosecutor Graham Gasier didn't prosecute Sandusly.
After Sandusky retired in from Penn State in 1999 he was doing volunteer work at a local High School and this is where the boy was.
After the police were notified and it was investigated Sandusky wasn't allowed back at the school.

If you're referring to Ray Grigar, he isn't "missing" - he has actually disappeared without a trace.

And before he disappeared, he was trying to find out how to wipe out a hard drive.

because people kowtow to power.

this woman was a single mother. she did not have power within the community, she wasn't one of the stars of the community. Sandusky was.

What's disgusting in this case is the principal must be ignorant about the typical profile of a pedophile. Otherwise, the principal would know that good standing in the community does not automatically rule someone out. Rather, that's part of the profile. Most pedophiles are not homeless people or drug addicts, etc.

Most pedophiles are:

1. Considered members in good standing in their communities.
2. Married
3. Involved in occupations or volunteer activities that put them in close proximity to children
4. Personable. Charming.
5. Male and present masculine traits
6. Educated
7. Religious
8. Have no criminal record

Now, these descriptors don't mean anything in and of themselves because all kinds of decent people fit this same profile. HOWEVER, when someone is accused of inappropriate behavior, these same descriptors don't mean they couldn't do something like abuse children.

It's just stunning that this principle thought the claim had no merit and used the argument that Sandusky was a nice guy. The principal should be fired, too.
