Public education privatizers join fight to cut Social Security
To anyone who has followed the attempts to deform reform public education you will not only notice similar rhetoric to the Fix The Debt campaign, but behind the people like Michelle Rhee and Geoffrey Canada sit those very same rich oligarchs desperate to avoid paying taxes. The corporate cosmology of “letting the market decide” questions of public education and surviving old age pair well together. And now as that rough beast known as the “Grand Bargain” slouches towards DC, the shills for privatizing public education are being called in to reinforce the bought politicians calling for cuts to Social Security.

1. They're all one great comic book style cabal of evil fucks.
Remember Hillary Clinton's "vast right wing conspiracy"? It is real and it's the greatest threat to the nation in our short history. Cuts to the social safety net are only surface symptoms, the disease goes much deeper and is far more insidious.

It's not a conspiracy theory when it's true.

Now, turn up your headphones and listen to this.

2. Well, not to

nitpick, but she said that about Bill and Monica.

She was on the Today Show being interviewed by Matt Lauer, after the rumors had been leaked, but before anyone proved that Bill indeed had been involved with Monica.

She was saying that Bill had woken her up one morning to tell her, "You just won't believe what they are saying about me now." And I don't recall what Lauer said. Maybe (just speculating) he asked something like, "Why would they be saying that if there's nothing to it?" And Hill came back with "vast right wing conspiracy."

I bet it's on You Tube somewhere.

Anyway, there was a vast right wing conspiracy against Bill. But making him wake Hillary up to lie to her was not part of it. Neither was letting her go on TV, knowing she would be questioned and would make a fool of herself on his beholf. Neither was his lame affair with Monica. Neither was making Bill perjure himself under oath. He was insanely narcissistic to think he was going to be able to keep the truth from his wife indefinitely, let alone the American public.

Well, at least Paula Jones and Linda Tripp got some plastic surgery out of the conspiracy. I feel sorry for Monica Lewinsky though, as well as anyone who has had to teach American history to high school students since the BJ impeachment.

But I digress. Again, yes, there was and is a vast right wing conspiracy. And, IMO, New Democrats are not as far away from it as I would like. (Sorry. I seem to have lost all ability to blame just one Party for the plight of the 99%.)

3. My understanding is different.
I thought, when Hillary said that, she was saying it in response to all the investigations the Republicans had heaped on the Clintons and not just the Monica Lewinski thing. I don't think she was responding to the Monica thing at all when she said "vast right wing conspiracy". And the massive organized drive to "get Clinton" was ridiculous. The entire media was engaged in a huge effort to attack Clinton. Special prosecutor Star's suggestion that it was not a vendetta was laughable. I figure Monica and Tripp for a RW dirty tricks agents anyway. I have zero sympathy for either one.

No Elephants, I blame the Democrats plenty, for all sorts of wrongs. But the GOP is absolutely in another class when it comes to destroying this nation. The Democrats didn't steal the 2,000 election, fake up a false flag attack on the nation, lie us into a war, cut taxes driving up the deficit and start the massive surveillance on the entire nation. I'm not buying that old false equivalency nonsense.
