I'm so impressed by SOS Clinton and regret the anger I felt toward her in the heat of the primaries.

I was for Obama and during the primaries and allowed myself to get so angry with Hillary Clinton (as I know many Clinton supporters were angry at Obama.)
But no one can say she has not been the most loyal and impressive SOS. I'm watching her in an interview on Greta and she is absolutely brilliant. Obama is lucky to have her for SOS.
I am grateful that both Obama and Clinton were big enough people to put all the vitriol of the primaries behind them and work together.
I know it's old news, but watching her now I'm grateful. And impressed.

1. She is one class act, and she's smart. THERE you see an example of the Democrats' idea of
a woman to admire. Pelosi too. Who have the bad guys got besides a bunch of pathetic, ignorant, smug, mean-spirited middle-aged bimbos?

2. I was never angry at HER during the primary. It was her PUMA-leaning supporters...
...who got me mad. And I'm very impressed with her as SOS as well.

3. Her "PUMA-leaning supporters" were never as big in number as
some made them out to be. I was a Hillary supporter during the primaries and I remember that most of us thought the PUMA's were a republican invention, turns out they were,so please don't lump Hillary supporters on DU to them.

6. I recall many posters here referring to Clinton supporters as PUMAs.
Not some Clinton supporters, but all of us,anyone who supported Clinton.

11. Many here were PUMAs. But most of them were TSed.
I don't recall any DUers calling "all Clinton supporters" PUMAs. I'm sure there were a handful of disruptors who did, but it certainly wasn't the norm.

5. Oh, those were the days. The 2008 primaries.
That was where I learned that Democrats could do destructive, low-down, slimy politics every bit as much as Republicans. It's where the scales fell from my eyes and I realized that Democratic politicians are politicians too. Now it amazes me that it took me so long to realize that.

9. She is terrible
Edited on Mon Feb-07-11 11:28 PM by Ramulux
She is an embarrassment. She should have resigned after the Wikileaks cable dump showed that she ordered diplomats to steal genetic information from UN officials. She was a cheerleader for Mubarek up until the protests, when all of the sudden it occurred to her that he was a piece of shit tyrant. Obviously just a coincidence. She is a neo-liberal just like Obama, supporting dictators only until it becomes politically dangerous to do so and trumpeting failed trade policies all over the world.

Hillary seems like a wonderful woman only up until you look at her record.

13. I agree. I used to like her, in fact I met her and thought she was
a compassionate, kind person. But then she went on to support an illegal war that has killed over a million human beings and she declared that there might be circumstances where she could condone torture.

And right now, with the whole world watching, she is supporting an infamous torturer, a man who in a just world, would be tried for crimes against humanity. And she is ignoring the will of the Egyptian people, acting like an Empress, as if she has any right to decide who should rule that country, let alone someone the people have rejected.

I don't know what happened to her, but she has evolved into a woman I have lost all respect for. A true loyal supporter of the MIC. And she doesn't seem to understand how despised Suleiman is around the world, or maybe, she has become so arrogant, she doesn't care.

10. Yes she is one of the greatest SOS there has been in my memory. I supported her
during the campaign and am glad Obama has a strong enough character to go for excellence instead of worrying if she would outshine him. She shines with him. They are both great.

14. I supported her during the primaries and I'm disgusted by what she and Obama are doing in Egypt
Sorry, her being "loyal" to Obama doesn't impress me, while she's helping him prop up a dictatorial regime and oppose a massive popular uprising.
