I suspect and also hope heads will explode at the major media
outlets when Keith starts his gig at Current. This low on the rung outlet could hit the charts big time with Keith. He has a huge following and I for one will not miss it. I would love, love I tell ya, to see MSNBC, Faux and CNN be outnumbered by Keith in his time slot. I'm hoping for two shows or one and with a repeat. Go Current!!

1. Comcast & others can contain it by not carrying...
Like AJE, Current & KO will need to find a way to stream online. Apparently, Current already podcasts much or all of its content and some appears on HULU. I don't know what the delay is with podcasts, but Hulu usually has a 24 hour delay. To go head to head with any of the other MSM, there needs to be a real time or near real time way for more to watch.

10. I said they CAN contain it, not that they are or will...

Not to mention the other carriers. Comcast, after all, did not exactly intervene when MSNBC ditched their biggest draw (and I firmly believe they either enabled, ordered, or at least applauded this happening). A small investgment in Current is certainly not going to deter Comcast from making decisions based on their other investments or philosophy.

11. Yes...relatively small and doesn't preclude their making a decision
based on their other investments that might limit Current's growth.

12. I blame us for depending on national news anchors for our "news."
Why?

6. I hope they are up and running in time for the true election process for 2012.
How refreshing to get real news, for a change. Might even get to see KO or Gore during the Iowa primaries.
