Hibernating Bear Chased Off With Country Music

It seems some animals just can't stand our music.

Officials from the Colorado Division of Wildlife managed to wake and shoo a bear that was hibernating on Boulder Community Hospital property in an unusual way: by playing country-western music. --snip--

Jennifer Churchill, spokeswoman for the Colorado Division of Wildlife, said officers feel confident that the bear -- which was awake by the time they arrived and seemed to be in good health -- will be able to find another safe place nearby to hibernate for the rest of the winter.

2. I'm sort of curious which performer(s) they chose...
But, I have developed new appreciation for bears (or at least this particular bear) and their judgment.

14. The cool part of being from the south is that I like country and rap...
I'd say if they wanted to drive the bears to suicide they'd play the Flogging Decembrists or whatever all those identically cloned "indie" bands are.
