House Energy Committee Has Become a Wholly Owned Subsidiary of Oil Billionaire Koch Brothers
But while no one was looking, oil billionaires David and Charles Koch — behind-the-scenes funders of the tea party astroturf mobs — and their front group, Americans for Prosperity spent a little over $41 million during the election, quietly buying dozens of members of Congress, lock, stock and barrel.

Since the elections, the Kochs have taken control of their latest acquisition — the House of Representatives. Their first order of business was to populate the House Energy Committee — which regulates their core business — with members of Congress beholden to them.

1. The amazing thing is the low price tag of Congressional Committees
These boys merely had to throw a few fractions of a percent of the wealth they earn in a year and they have bright, shiny new Congresional committee!

2. National Public Radio covered this story -- 21 of the thirty-some

members on the Energy Committee are now recipients of Things-Go-Better-With-Koch largesse.

Edit: Correction: 22 of the Committee's 31 Republicans.

=================================
$279,500 to 22 of the committee’s 31 Republicans, and $32,000 to five Democrats.
=================================

I found the Pensito Review article well worth reading.
The arrogance of the Koch boys is beyond believable.
