With that caveat, our assessment indicates that as of 2009, the net worth of the nation’s 400 wealthiest individuals exceeds the net worth of half of all American households.

We rate Moore’s statement True.

2. I'd like to see someone carry this further.
This wealth gap doesn't just mean there are a handful of obscenely wealthy and a huge middle class. To be in the middle there needs to be something else, something no one wants to mention. The knowledge that we have the poverty we do in this country when we have the resources and the means to do something about it is distressing to say the very least. No excuses for poverty. None. It's not a question of how or means, it's a question of will.

3. Good point. This is not just a sign of 400 greedy people, but a systemic problem
that is allowing wealth produced by American workers to be siphoned to the top layer. It is a problem that needs to be addressed, and, you're right. There is no excuse for it.

4. But it ain't about them...

it's about an economic system which makes them, or their interchangeable replacements, invertible.

6. The social unrest that's
breaking out is the direct result of the widening gap between the wealthy elites and the working class. The tipping point is at hand, and unless the wealth gets redistributed Wisconsin will be the tip of a smoldering volcano.
