LePage...Increases state pension contributions exempting one public employee
Anyone want to take a wild stab at who that one public employee that doesn't have to pay any more in to the system is?

Under Gov. Paul LePage's proposed budget, teachers and other state employees will be required to increase their contributions to the pension system, from 7.65 percent of their salary to 9.65 percent.

One public employee currently paying 7.65 percent, however, won't see an increase.

The governor has exempted himself.

Older news by a week and a half, but worth repeating, in light of front LePage news....this jerk starts getting his pension payment the minute he leaves office as well. Regular people have to work for decades and retire to start seeing any checks.

4. Anybody seen any recent polls?
If the Governor's of Wisconsin, Florida, and Ohio are doing poorly in the polls then surely LePage must be. He didn't win by much as well as only getting about a third of the vote. It's unfortunate that Maine will become an increasingly known State now because of this guy. In Miami when people ask where I am from and tell them Maine the majority response I get is "Where is that?".
