Fox blames weather for weak turnout at tea party rally
byJed Lewison

Tea party organizers had high hopes for their rally today in Washington, DC—high enough hopes that they arranged for Fox to give it live coverage.

Then something sad happened. Just a few dozen people showed up. And Fox, naturally, blamed the weather:

1. Hmmm, they're a pretty weak lot
Remember the big snowy rally in Madison? We were freezing, despite the layers.

Maybe they need something stronger than tea to fortify themselves.

8. I started a thread in GDP wondering about this?
I could not find a thing on the tv about it. Yesterday they were talking about 100's of thousands coming to DC to rally the legislators..

9. Regardless of how puny the "rally" was, it got airtime on Andrea Mitchell. And speaking of
Mrs. Greenspan, how does this woman stay on the air? She can barely talk. She can barely read the teleprompter. She stumbles over every other every-day word she says. I mean words we all say at some point every day she just cannot seem to get them out without fucking them up.

Yea, yea, I know how she stay's on the air. It was a rhetorical question.

11. 'Just dozens'?
Isn't that a GOOD turnout for these freaks? I vaguely seem to recall a few 'Tea Parties' with substantially less than that. I think the one in my hometown got about 4 people. :P

The Koch Klan didn't provide buses, booze and a bag lunch this time, after all
the Kochs used the baggers, got what they wanted (2010 elections) and now have thrown them under the bus instead of letting them ride in it to a fake, Koch sponsored, FOX GOP sponsored bagger event complete with a $10 dollar freeplay gambling voucher good at any local casino or for a bottle of booze at any Piggly Wiggly lol.

18. Right, holy cow, I forgot the god angle in all of this, I just figured the Kochs and Fox were their
God. Thanks for the Ah ha freshwest so the "real" god is not on their side after all, what will Palin and Bachmann do? What about poor C street/the family, they've got a god on every street corner including all street corners in Africa. And who will they all worship at that "prayer" meeting since their god has failed them? This whole sad situation, god help us lol

29. Indeed. Maybe someone with a strong stomach should check Pat Robertson's weather forecast!
Remember he prayed for bad weather during the Democratic convention to drive those evil 'demonrats' away and failed.

The Tea Party was created by the GOP, and now its no longer needed.

28. Doesn't that mean that God doesn't want them to rally?
I mean, God sent the bad weather to ruin their rally. It therefore stands to reason that God hates the Tea Party.

Right?
