Deadly protests against the burning of Stephen Hawking's book A Brief History of Time
Deadly protests provoked by the burning of the Koran barely raise an eyebrow, while the title of this thread is, unless I am mistaken, completely hypothetical.

Please note that I oppose deadly protests.

1. I protest your opposition to protests.
But my post was lost a while at the event horizon of a black hole. Thankfully it made it here in the form of Hawking Radiation.

2. Well, I have to protest your protest of opposition to protests!
I may even protest my own protest, just to beat anyone to the punch! ;)

So, down with my protest!

3. I protest your protest of your own protest...
And if you protest that, people are going to get hurt, and so it's not protected under free speech, and also, the blood will be on your hands!

5. I'd burn my computer in protest to your protest but then I couldn't protest your protest!

6. Why not just over-clock it a bit more and let it burn itself? ;-) (NT)

4. well I personally agree with the burning
As I recall, the beginning of A Brief History of Time promised to fill me in on why strings are shaped more like rubber bands than actual strings, or something to that effect. But by the time I finished the book, it was not lost on me (nor my good friend PJ) that the explanation was lost or edited out or forgotten.

I haven't gotten over it. I'll never trust Hawking again...
