On every Opening Day since 2008, I've cheered about this
The head groundskeeper for the Baltimore Orioles is Nicole Sherry. While she isn't the first woman to hold such a job, but she is one of only two. Ever



The first woman to be named Head Groundskeeper for a Major League Baseball team is the Detroit Tigers' Heather Nabozny, who is still keepin' it green in The Motor City.



Interestingly, Baltimore's home opener this year is tomorrow against . . . . the Detroit Tigers.

Its going to be 82° tomorrow! There were delayed school openings - for snow - in the outer reaches of our area on Friday. Go figure . . . .

2. The only thing that struck me...
...is that she's standing on the grass next to her "Keep Off the Grass" sign. Too funny!
