So NATO killed twelve rebels
and the rebels apologize for firing weapons in the air (which apparently led to the attacks).
That reminds me of Dick Cheney shooting his so called friend.
I don't know whether to laugh or cry.

1. Gaddafi's murderous thugs
Edited on Sun Apr-03-11 12:53 PM by tabatha
are dressing and using the same munitions mounted in the back of trucks as the rebels, so as to confuse the pilots.

There was a live report on Al Jaazeera about the rebels concerned that they had been infiltrated by Gaddafi's thugs.

DU seems to be drowning under a litany of false equivalencies.

6. The FIENDS! They should paint targets on themselves while Rebel soldiers dress like civilians
When you go to war expecting the enemy to just be polite and present good targets until the point they surrender meekly, then you probably also think Congressional Republicans will want to compromise.

I'll give our C-in-C some credit here: he's consistent...

Face it: we're making war on these people, and they're not just idiots or cowards. Many of them also know that they're in deep trouble if they lose, so they have reason to be tenacious.

The rebels have marched in unarmed crowds while carrying weapons and approaching military checkpoints. They've executed suspected mercenaries. They've executed 2 policemen expected of sniping. It's a mess. Civil wars are traditionally the worst of wars.

2. So they should apologize.
Sorry, I know it's a tradition in the area but it is simply idiotic when you are getting air cover from a foreign source that doesn't know your customs. They got themselves killed by people who wanted to save them.

Hopefully word has gone out to both parties on the issue.

The stupidity of men with guns never ceases to amaze.

8. I believe we are about to issue brand new "Libyan Loafers" to the non-troops for the non-war
Once ya break a few laws, such news gets stale.

5. And why were they shooting in the air in the first place?
I mean, if you are a rebel with no firm supply lines, doesn't it just make sense to do all your shooting at the other side? Every bullet shot in celebration is one you won't have for your next fire fight.

I just don't get it.

7. They were competing for the first "Ensemble Darwin Award"
The early phases of war are often very exuberant.
