If the Democratic Socialists tried to take over...........
Edited on Sun Apr-03-11 01:38 PM by socialist_n_TN
I'd form an alliance with other Marxists AND the DSA against the Tea Party. The Tea Nazi Party? Same thing really.

Edited for a little more clarity.

2. I'm all for Democratic Socialism, but your OP needs to be a bit more fleshed out
It could be misconstrued right now as tying Marxism to Nazism.

7. Nah. In heaven there s no beer.
That's why we drink it here.
And when we're all gone from here
Our friends will be drinking all the beer.

Free beer for all the workers
When the revolution comes.

10. I totally disagree with you.
Of course there is beer in Heaven, otherwise it would be Hell.

6. I'd love for them to take over.
Granted I'm a bit more militant, being a Trotskyist, but the DSA is a hell better than the system we have now.

13. Well that's what I've been telling the Democratic Party......
for a while now. If you want to change the political dynamic, just come out unabashedly and unashamedly on the side of the working class. And yeah, that would include jailing some bankers.

14. Harry Truman said it first:
"I've seen it happen time after time. When the Democratic candidate allows himself to be put on the defensive and starts apologizing for the New Deal and the fair Deal, and says he really doesn't believe in them, he is sure to lose. The people don't want a phony Democrat. If it's a choice between a genuine Republican, and a Republican in Democratic clothing, the people will choose the genuine article, every time; that is, they will take a Republican before they will a phony Democrat, and I don't want any phony Democratic candidates in this campaign."
---President Harry Truman

"There are forces within the Democratic Party who want us to sound like kinder, gentler Republicans.
I want us to compete for that great mass of voters that want a party that will stand up for working Americans."
