not everyday, but some days i feel like this....
Edited on Mon Apr-04-11 09:02 AM by kpete
is simmering under the surface.....

"The Obama administration is a disgrace and a sellout. They have betrayed every principle ever held by the Democratic party, all for corporate money and the promise of lifetime sinecures in the wingnut welfare machine. Obama's actions put him far to the right of Clinton, Bush Sr., Carter, Nixon and Eisenhower. That is not change anyone can believe in. Time and again, Obama has insulted and deserted his base while cozying up to those who want to destroy the American middle class and the American dream. That's not change anyone can believe in. Obama has broken every campaign promise he made, from universal health care to bringing home the troops in the Middle East to supporting striking workers to restoring habeus corpus and basic civil rights. That's not change anyone can believe in. "We're not quite as bad as the other guys" is all Obama has left and it's a weasel strategy. It's not change anyone can believe in."

30. That vast majority of democrats believe whatever the corporate
owned media tells them. The corporate media has a vested interest in convincing people to support corporate shills. Like Obama.

8. what's even more frustrating -- we're already getting EXCUSES about his admin looking for even MORE
corporate money -- the neener neener excuse of *well the other side is going for it since CU ruling*. So we're supposed to give him a pass on being blatantly corporate, and supposed to vote because he's the *lesser of two evils*.

So the little guy gets to sit on the curb, waiting for that day sometime in the future when our leaders *might* take pity on us, in between corporate get togethers and parties.

When are the alms bowls handed out to the 99ers? And the folks who have been tossed out of their homes by banks that got bailed out? Will we be told there are *no begging zones* in DC?

It's galling.

So I just wrote out the whole long response, then deleted it.

It was sort of like therapy. Write a letter, stick it in a drawer, never mail it.

10. Me too Kpete! It all seems so hopeless now.....
It depresses me. There was so much hope. A Dem President and Dem majorities in both houses. All that hope was squandered away. There was not even a fight for the real changes that this country needed.

Yep, I'm just depressed about the whole thing. Makes me feel like just giving up because there is nothing meaningful I can do about any of it. TPTB are #1!!! how sad is that?

but it will not be because of MY vote.

I feel like there is nothing to believe in BUT principle anymore, and that is what will guide my $$$ and my vote in 2012.

17. I'm so disappointed w/my President that I could piss on his Cheerios
rather than the other way around but there's no way he's to the right of Clinton. Perhaps I'm mistaken but I put him just about on the same level as.

And all things political seem to be vulnerable to the highly infectious corporatationitis. With Republicans you expect that but with Dems you expect something a bit different.

Guess this country still isn't ready for real change that could benefit everyone. Corporations are people indeed.

20. All Along the Watchtower
There must be some kind of way out of here
Said the joker to the theif
There's too much confusion
I can't get no relief
Business men they drink my wine
Plowmen dig my earth
None will level on the wine
Nobody of it is worth

No reason to get exited
The thief he kindly spoke
There are many here among us
Who feel that life is but a joke
But you and I we've been through that
And this is not our fate
So let us talk falsely now
The hour's getting late

From some wing-nut think tank no doubt. Almost got me but not quite. I will vote for President Obama in 2012, and hope for a more liberal candidate in the future.

Edited to add: Not by Kpete.
