There are many Republicans and Independents that hate SnotWalker and his ilk. The Democratic supporters will dwarf their 2010 turnout.

In Wisconsin I think we will see something of a trendsetting.....

24. Wausau headline: Voter turnout shatters predictions in some areas
Voter turnout at several polling places around the region already has surged past the predicted 20 percent, especially in the city of Wausau.

At Wausau West High School, polling place for residents in Districts 7 and 8, 852 of about 3,400 voters had cast their ballots by 4:25 p.m.

Turnout has also been strong so far at The Rose Garden in Wausau, where more than 600 voters in Districts 10 and 11 had cast their ballots by 4:45 p.m., out of 2,560 registered. That includes nearly 40 voters who registered today.

Edited on Tue Apr-05-11 07:32 PM by blaze
The MSM doesn't report a damn thing and I think that we are all doomed to corporate control....

But then WI comes along and reminds me that maybe, just maybe, we can hold on.

If Kloppenburg wins, my hopes are much higher the the small "d" democratic process still has a sliver of life in it.

Thanks for your updates!

edit to add: Don't they have enough signatures for recall on a couple of Senators already?

38. Milwaukee: Voter Turnout May Exceed Expectations
Edited on Tue Apr-05-11 07:04 PM by Ellipsis
MILWAUKEE COUNTY - As voters took time to cast their ballot Tuesday, there seemed to be more casting than usual.“I think a lot of people who wouldn’t be voting in a spring election will be voting today,” said voter Chaz Tiede. Tiede voted for the first time in what is usually an unpopular spring election. “I feel like it’s an important election and there are a lot of issues that will be decided today,” said Tiede.

And that’s exactly why Sue Edmond, Milwaukee’s Election Commission director believes the city’s turnout rate will be about 25-percent, which is about 80,000 people voting.

That will shatter numbers for last spring’s election, when only about 19,000 voted in Milwaukee.

48. YES!!! Nail in the coffin time Oshkosh: Extra ballots on hand as higher than expected turnout
A higher than expected turnout has left some polling locations in the county running low on ballots, but measures are in place to make sure voters are able to cast their ballot.

Officials have picked up the overrun ballots from the printers and delivered them to locations that were running low, said Winnebago County Clerk Sue Ertmer. Voters will also be encouraged to used the touch screen voting machines.

Ertmer said the county was expecting voter turnout to be around 25 percent, but she said she believes it has been higher today.

50. Superior Wisconsin, Washburn County expect up to 50% turnout perhaps more
Governor Scott Walker’s budget- repair bill is stirring projections of above-average voter turnout across northern Wisconsin for today’s elections.

Superior City Clerk Terri Kalan expects voter turnout to be between 50 percent and 55 percent, much busier than typical spring elections.

“Average turnout is under 30 percent. The mayoral race, of course, is bringing people out. The justice of the Supreme Court is really helping to push that percentage up, and then we have a couple City Council races, also.”
