Blue rally in a red town
Our April 4 "We Are One" event -- We had over a hundred show up in the windy cold, danged impressive for this very red community. We had signs inviting passersby to honk in support, and the sound was constant for the duration. Very encouraging! Several excellent speakers: labor leaders, professors, clergy, community activists, union members. Event closed with all of us singing "Ain't Gonna Let Nobody Turn Me Around" through our chattering teeth. Great, great event!
