The most votes in that district are estimated to be 760

If that district breaks for Prosser in the same proportion as the rest of the county: Kloppenburg remains ahead by 193 votes.

For Prosser to make up the difference he need 77%

It was very close..like 5000 votes in millions...so the elction went to Kennedy...

Two years later...Kennedy gives Krushev enough wiggle room to stop WWIII in the Cuban Missle Crisis..

14. We were out spent in this race 3 to 1. In February the prediction was Prosser by

66% to 33%.

It's not at all easy to come from behind, against that sort of resource.

BUT WE DID IT! I'm not gonna feel bad about this a bit.

And it isn't over yet. There will be a recount no matter which side wins. And you can almost bet there are some missing votes that will be found. Last night Walworth Co produced some huge numbers per precinct that didn't look right to me. I'll be glad to have that county recounted by hand.

In Milwaukee Co, the job that Walker left fell to Dems by a 2 to 1 margin.

Certainly it will be a strategic advantage to have the supreme court 4-3 on the liberal side. But everything (inlcuding predicting the recall outcomes) doesn't hang on Kloppenburg, those special elections will be in districts where the voters are clearly pissed and reached a very high standard to bring about the special elections.

This isn't bad news. Not by most of a wheel of cheddar (or Wisconsin's Colby)

8. The missing precinct is Jefferson co.

Jefferson CO is mostly republican but it does have some food industry (Friskies, ConAgra) which include unions...until we see which one it is we won't know...

most of these precincts have small populations...he writes with fingers crossed...maybe not enough votes remaining to take it away from Kloppenburg.

that Prosser is an incumbent in a job that very heavily favors the incumbent. People that don't watch closely and vote all the time, picture the average older and retired GOP voter, will just head to the polls and fill out the form.

Prosser was so heavily favored at the time of the primary (wasn't he up over 55%?) that even with all the bad press Walker gets I'm surprised that Kloppenburg has managed to close so well.

No matter how this eventually turns out I think it bodes very well for the recall efforts and the chance to really turn things around in the State House.

The ad was run by pro Kloppenburg people, not by Kloppenburg
The kid who was supposed to be the victim came out FOR PROSSER
The largest christian denomination in Wisconsin is ROMAN CATHOLIC

The counter ad was very heavily funded, shown many thousands of times in all markets over the last ffew days of the campaign. It made Kloppenburg look like a dirty trickster even though it wasn't her ad.

22. Actually it's one precinct in one county--Jefferson

Jefferson Co. is pink-purple, most of the precincts are small, averaging about 400 voters in a good turnout.

We don't know which precinct so we don't have a clue if it's one of those in the town of Jefferson where there is a sizable union presence.
