Today has been a good day.

The Wisconsin Supreme Court is no longer in the hands of the radical right-wing. JoAnne Kloppenburg has declared victory in the Wisconsin Supreme Court race. It's a sigh of relief but the fight has just begun. These union-busting radicals will not stop here.

The race was too close for comfort and much closer than it should have been. The closeness of the race is an indicator of just how ingrained the right-wing propaganda has become in this country. It's not just Wisconsin.

1. It is more encouraging to me than anything in politics has been in a long time.
They have finally gone too far and people are waking up.
May it be the first of many such elections.

2. i think there are a few things here that should be noted....
first of all, this prosser guy was an incumbent. this was supposed to be a cake walk for him. secondly, there apparently was a LOT of money thrown at this thing in just the past few days... the republican had quite the advantage regarding money. and yet the dem still came out ahead. True, one wonders why it wasn't a grand slam kick in walker's teeth to scare all those republicans facing recall, but i think that the fact that the dem is ahead says a lot. I mean, the media is refusing to cover a lot. and they are not helping folks. and of course there is the 30% floor who apparently just will vote for the republican no matter what.

3. What was the margin? Close enough for a recount?

7. Lets not lose sight of the fact that 129 people died today because they had no insurance.
Moment of silence for those people then carry on with the celebration.
