Teen: Baggy Pants Saved Me From Gator
Teen: Baggy Pants Saved Me From Gator

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- Florida lawmakers may think twice about banning droopy drawers after a teen claims he was saved from an alligator attack because of his baggy pants.

Kendrick Williams said he was walking home from work through a St. Petersburg apartment complex on Tuesday when an alligator took a bite of his pants.

"I heard the hiss and then I looked down, and I seen the alligator on the ground," Williams said.

"And what did you do?" a reporter asked.

"I ran," he said.

1. "...and I seen the alligator on the ground."
Glad he is safe, but wish he would learn to speak proper English.

7. I live in Southern California and a lot of kids say "seen" instead of "saw".
Dialect, my ass.

5. cute!...
when else in your life can you use bad grammar and wear silly clothes, if not when you are a teen? More power to him! He's even got a job! I think it's cute. I'm glad the gator did not get him.

8. And wouldn't he have been able to
run a LOT faster in non-baggy pants?

Just asking.

9. big clothes saved my daughter from a dog attack
when she was about 5, a loose german shepherd lunged at her and took a bite - but he got a mouthful of poofy dress, didn't get to her skin at all. The dress had a giant hole but the only injury she got was from me dragging her by her arm across the gravel driveway into our house.

Maybe that sort of thing is more common than we know ... it would be odd if it's only happened to that guy and my kid.
