7. That's irrelevant. She was criticizing the the political games taking place. It doesn't
matter how many Personal Assistants she has -- at least those people have jobs.

Can you clarify? Was is "both sides" playing political games per Andrea?
That is what I am assuming, because she usually swings to the Right.

The reality of the situation is that REPUBLICANS are the ones doing the most grandstanding and game playing here.

4. No doubt she will be happy to volunteer to push buttons if she can
score an interview or an invitation to the right cocktail party.

8. She's already got the invitations to the right cocktail parties, and she probably
risks those daily with her criticisms of both the Reps and Dems.

I honestly don't understand why people are so down on her. She's no better or worse than others, and granted lets her personal view show through sometimes, but they all do. She's being blamed for falling in love with an asshole, I've done that, too.

13. Andrea Mitchell is awful. She's not that different from any other rightwing "journalist."
She is irresponsible any only spouts her corporatist views and chides those who don't share her skewed sense of the world. Andrea Mitchell deserves heavy criticism.

5. Meanwhile, the people who push those buttons, greet visitors, and keep the building civilized
Will get to sit home and wonder if and when their next paycheck is coming. But they're the little people, so who cares? Not Mrs. Greenspan.

6. Yes, they will be affected. And to be fair to Mrs. Greenspan, she was essentially
criticizing the Reps and Dems for not coming to an agreement. Surely you can't find fault with that, no matter what you think of her.

11. Seems like the Reps are the ones holding up an agreement
with their batshit insane riders.

9. Apparently Daryl Issa doesn't agree.
He feels that his million dollar staff is vital to national security.

“If gov't shuts down, we won't. I believe those who choose to come into work fall under my Constitutional arm. Accountability must continue.”

Congressional offices can declare that their employees are necessary to fulfill constitutional responsibilities — which can cover pretty much anything under the sun — and that’s what Issa (@DarrellIssa) tweeted that he’ll do.
