Numbers Change Significantly in Supreme Court Race, Kloppenburg Lead Now Up to 206
Thu, 04/07/2011 - 4:15pm | Jud Lounsbury

Numbers always change the days after an election, as the county clerks review and double-check the election night vote totals.

Here is a summary Wispolitics reporting today:

Earlier this afternoon, Winnebago County added 244 votes for Prosser, putting him briefly in the lead by 40 votes. Then, Prosser lost 113 votes in Grant County, putting Kloppenburg in the lead by 73 votes. Then Kloppenburg got another net gain of 91 votes in Portage County, pushing her lead up to 164 votes.

Most recently, Kloppenburg just got another 12 votes from Door County, pushing her lead up to 176 and 30 votes pushing her lead up to 206 votes.

So, net gain for the day for JKlo, after all kinds of stress: 2 votes

2. We need to just stay calm.
Letting ourselves just go crazy every time the lead changes is going to make us all nuts, and it doesn't take much.

7. Yeah, I've been stressing on it a lot.
Nice to see a late update. But you're quite right, we need to stay calm.

8. The votes have been counted, the people have spoken
Time for a changing of the guard at the Wisconsin Supreme Court. Get out of Joanne's chambers! Move on, Wisconsin Republicans. Get over it, you sore losers.

Let's see, what else did I get sick and tired of hearing 11 years ago?
