This is outright fraud. She is now stating she is so glad this "error was caught early."

Yes. There must be. Where are they?
Who's counting them?

3. ALL recounts are hand counted here. All votes on paper.
So, yes. And there will be a recount.

9. Are you sure they are all paper ballots? Heard a report on Chicago's CPT
that Brookfield ran out and switched to a DRE machine.

Delafield did, Eau Claire did, Beaver Dam did, but show me where and when Brookfield did.

2. That is totally inaccurate
The claim is that the City of Brookfield's #'s were not in the #'s given to media (mistakenlyomitted from the Access database on her PC).

Unofficial #'s. During certification, they caught it yesterday and contacted GAB. Since then, they've been counting and verifying - confirming the gain of 14,314 votes.

My Democratic CD chair spoke to the Democratic rep who was overseeing.

Should it have happened? no
Is the clerk an incompetent asshole? yes
Fraud? Doesn't look that way

I will await a recount and know that my Democratic reps have my back.

This is Wisconsin, we will fight this. If you don't believe that then you've been covering your eyes and ears for 8 weeks.

10. So it would seem - however (call me paranoid)
if these votes were deliberately withheld until the last minute, their sudden appearance would (and did) draw all eyes to them. Like a magician fluttering one hand in the air, while the other pulls off the trick. What counties are we NOT looking at while obsessing over this one?

Yeah, I'm paranoid - and I think experience gives me a right to be.

Our state Dems are amazing, you all have gotten a taste of that recently. If there has been fraud, we'll find it. If there has been misconduct, we'll expose it.

as humanly possible on this. All the WI Democrats I'm talking to this evening want as much outside Democratic party/progressive legal firepower as possible to come on over to WI and help investigate and vet the Waukesha situation.

27. Peace! Nikki...
Went through the same thing here last year, but few noticed the really tight Congressional race and the recount for some reason. (And thank the gods for that!) Most who did, though, were from out of town and had plenty of good advice.

Well, they thought it was good advice while we had out team in there almost 24 hours a day making sure everything was legit. It was, and we ended up winning, but the tinfoil crew saw evil conspiracies under every bed and made no allowance for the kind of screwups that can happen just because shit happens. In our case, there were a lot of new people unfamiliar with how things should work in an election (it's not like a lot of people do this for a living) and made simple mistakes that were uncovered and dealt with.

Edited on Thu Apr-07-11 11:24 PM by coalition_unwilling
you don't believe that the 7,000-odd votes were fraudulently manufactured or obtained. They simply were not included in the initial counts provided to the media.

If Nickolaus really was (or is) a computer programmer, then her statement about a file not being 'saved' in MS Access is highly suspicious and deserves some serious scrutiny, because it suggests she may be lying about other equally important matters. I want to see her sweated in front of a federal grand jury. Sounds like you have a more bslanced take than my admittedly partisan one.

34. You're absolutely right about the 14K. Apologize for the
verbal slip -- after you read 7K so many times, you sort of start to internalize it :)

Thanks again for the links and the clarifications. Out here in safely blue west side of Los Angeles, I've forgotten what contested territory feels and looks like.

6. The access DB
was on her computer. There should be a paper trail to back up the increase. My concern is her access to the ballots coupled with the Access DB on her personal computer could lead to a fraudulent situation. (Not known that she has ballot acces, pure conjecture on my part)

That being said, it smells a lot, and needs to be investigated.

They have resources and expertise that States do not. They protect aginst cyber attacks and high technology crimes. The FBI specifically against election fraud.
