Senator Mike Gravel, feisty as always, was Shannyn Moore's guest tonight at the taping of her weekly TV show. He discussed his work with with Daniel Ellsberg advocating and fundraising for Bradley Manning. He's not too impressed with how the administration is handling the matter of whistleblowers, not only in this case but others.







(I aligned most closely with Mike Gravel in the last presidential election. :) )

1. I liked him a LOT!! He was no BS, told it like it was, wasn't playing the political

games. I was sorry to see he had such a struggle attracting supporters and was treated derisively by the media. He's a great American.

2. I sure wish he were in charge now -- and over the past two years.

4. I liked him in many ways, but didn't care for his support of moving to a flat tax...

I know he had a big falling out with Mike Malloy over that when he was a guest on his show one night during the primaries in 2008.

But on many other issues he's a good fighter for us to have on our side. Not sure I want him as president, but I like having him working on many things where he can help make a big difference.

8. He wouldn't have been able to get that passed, I'm guessing, but I agree, he was

a fighter. I remember when he looked at the others at the first Prez debate and said "I wonder how the hell some of you got here" or something like that. I liked him from that moment on -- and he continued to impress me with his put-it-all-out-there approach. Good guy. Sigh.
