I Dare You To Watch This (Chernobyl)
This is a slide show of some children affected by Chernobyl, it's been posted before but not with this format of narration by the photographer.

WARNING GRAPHIC IMAGES

"According to the UN 7 million people were affected by Chernobyl, half of them children. In Belarus alone 500,000 children are victims of Chernobyl"

9. A Good Film

I didn't realize that the Russians met behind closed doors with the IAEA, the Russians told them the truth, then the IAEA lied about what happened.

Very interesting that no reporters were allowed in the meeting, I wonder why? (but not really)

So typical also that the meme then and now is that the Russians covered everything up. But now we know the international (corporate) community also lent a hand.

Interesting also that the Russian that compiled all the information and presented it to the IAEA later committed suicide.

2. My son was born in a hot spot in Ukraine...
caused by Chernobyl. He has birth defects. Is he a victim... or is he just a kid?

Beware of how you answer this question.

12. The Only Bright Spot
About Chernobyl and Fukushima

is that they are wake up calls about what happens when nuclear power gets out of control

Like Gorbachev says in the film, we were sitting on top of 2700 Nuclear missiles each with 600 times the power of Chernobyl. So Chernobyl is good in that it's an example of nuclear power unleashed.

Shortly after they signed non-proliferation treaties.

Just like after Three Mile Island there have been no new nuclear plants in the USA, now with Fukushima there will be fewer new nuclear plants worldwide.

14. That was intense and
so damn sad. Good G-d. What were they thinking when they took this path toward energy production? I'll tell you what. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$ MONEY $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

They sure as hell didn't give a thought to what it would do to human life and our entire planet.

Money. The root of all evil.
