This thread is for anyone who impressed by the tea party.
Do you have any understanding of just who The Tea Party represents or better yet, who represents them?
Some wonder where is "our" power? If you are talking about where is our power because the Tea Party seems to wield a lot of power, you may not want to pay the price for that power. It is fake power. It does not belong to the people who consider themselves Tea Partiers. It is bought and paid for the political astroturfing PTB. It is sad that so many of them have been duped and are being used as a grassroots front for the greedy SOB's we call The Powers That Be.
The following article is a good primer to understand astroturfing. It's old but still valid and well worth the read. Google around and you will find plenty more. The Tea Party should not be admired for anything except their ability to be used by TPTB:
"The Tea Party movement: deluded and inspired by billionaires"

The movement began when CNBC's Rick Santelli called from the floor of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange for a bankers' revolt against the undeserving poor. (He proposed that the traders should hold a tea party to dump derivative securities in Lake Michigan to prevent Obama's plan to "subsidise the losers": by which he meant people whose mortgages had fallen into arrears.) On the same day, Americans for Prosperity set up a Tea Party Facebook page and started organising Tea Party events.
