"Top library complaint: Story about same-sex penguin couple"
http://news.blogs.cnn.com/2011/04/11/top-library-complaint-story-about-same-sex-penguin-couple/?hpt=C2

It seems like a children's book about penguins hatching a baby at the Central Park Zoo in New York would be a cute story for parents to read to their kids.

"And Tango Makes Three" is such a story, with one twist, the adult penguins are both male.

The book, written by Justin Richardson and Peter Parnell, has once again topped the American Library Association list of the 10 most frequently challenged books.

According to a news release from the ALA: "A challenge is defined as a formal, written complaint filed with a library or school requesting that a book or other material be restricted or removed because of its content or appropriateness."

2. Hey, global warming will probably wipe those penguins out, anyway.
But then it may wipe us out, anyway.

6. What the . . . ?
Look, if kids who feel "different" grow up without an unrelenting message that society hates them, they'll never amount to anything, and even God is disgusted by them and their unnatural attractions, how will they ever learn how to pass and behave in a manner that will make them acceptable to the lowest, meanest jerks we can produce? A book like this might make some young man or woman who is growing up full of self doubt and apprehension feel a little better about himself or herself. Might even grow up and be well-adjusted and self-accepting. And then where would we be? Cats and dogs, living together! Anarchy! Mayhem!

So "And Tango Makes Three" must be complained about.
