"Good God Mom, what is it you're clinging to? He's like a cheating
husband who promised you the moon and left you with a sack of shite." This from my son in response to a discussion about the President. He's in a communication workers union, worked to elect Obama at my urging and is, according to him disgusted and ashamed of the lack of spine and/or committment of this administration. No fight for the middle class, unions, etc. Says he is not alone which makes me wonder just how involved younger people will be in this upcoming '12 election when the time comes.

3. I'm sure
he'll be most happy with the fact that he used to be in a communication workers union following the next election when the repukes work to make the entire country "right to work".

4. the administration has lost the enthusiasm and volunteerism of the youth vote.
jmho based on the opinions of my early 20's children and their friends.

it appears as though they are counting on some deep corporate pockets for the billion $$ to run.

they know it isn't coming from the youth in this country and have already accepted the trade-off in their election scenarios.

just my opinion.

6. If that's true, what a squandered opportunity among too many squandered opportunities
Maybe that's what future historians (assuming there are any) will call this era:

The Squandered Age

7. And because the middleclass can only talk about the middleclass, don't expect to see
another traditional strong Dem group, poor people, show up in the numbers they usually produce, either.

The middleclass can't or won't see that they are doing exactly what they are accusing the rich Dems of doing to them.

Same/same
