And gave someone's voice mail a very long and angry message about what a farce they had become. He went on at length about the coverage they've been giving Trump and Bachman, without you know... really reporting much news.

I'm sure some staffer picked it up and probably got a chuckle out of it. They're more entertainment than news - I don't know if it was ever different, if so, I don't believe I lived during such a time.

I've always been the positive, optimistic, "this too shall pass" sort, but more and more I worry about "us".

I was scrolling through the "news" bullets on Yahoo frontpage a few minutes ago. Of the 48 headliners on the scroll bar SIX were actual news stories -- the rest were fluff. Yeah, I know, it's "Yahoo", but still.........is this really what we -- as a people -- are most concerned with........who was cut on Dancing with the Stars, what Pricess Diana's bridesmaids are up to these days, and what outfit Serena Williams wore to practice in?

I just don't know anymore.
