LOL. Shep Smith on Fox is questioning Andy Card's defense of tax cuts for the rich
Shep brought up the income gap, and then, as Card kept talking about jobs being created by the tax cuts, pointed out quietly that the tax cuts haven't helped so far.

1. Series. If that were really true, we'd have to import the labor....
and everyone in high-school would have part-time jobs.

If only their pants really did catch on fire.

3. tax cuts to individuals dont work....
Regan's version of trickle down economics is a great example of that. Cutting taxes to corporations does tend to increase employment.

4. You have top be kidding, right?
We have had a complete decade of corporate tax cuts and yet the job losses have been historic...Supply side economics has been proved to be complete BS. Give one solid example where what you say has proved to be true...Please.

6. Really? Want to heat up some food? Put in my Amana refrigerator.
Sure, it takes longer than a microwave, but it'll get you there... with salmonella.

5. only in countries where labor is dirt-cheap, like China, India, Indonesia, Vietnam, etc.
Edited on Wed Apr-13-11 03:03 PM by kysrsoze
That does NOT happen in the U.S. Those dollars go right back to the shareholders and higher-ups. G.E. is a perfect example. Huge bonus for the CEO, while he asks for concessions from 15K U.S. workers.

It's all bullshit.

15. And the demand for goods is created by good jobs.
Henry Ford was a commie, pinko dirtbag by today's standards.

2. What jobs? Where? The taxes cuts to the rich were first put in place in 2001 and 2003 and
job losses have been happening throughout the last decade.

8. Apparently, it takes time for the jobs to materialize
Holding your breath is not advised. We're talking lots of time. Deep time. Time to form planets out of cosmic dust time. Time for dinosaurs to evolve, dominate, go extinct and turn into fossil fuel time. You just have to be patient.
