It's what happens when generation after generation have endless supplies of babies and never consider the impact of unlimited childbearing to themselves and the rest of the world. It's their right. And 7 billion people later when we cannot feed nor cloth nor house all those people and babies are once again being discarded, literally in the streets to die of exposure, rest assured that the unlimited childbearing without any consequences crowd will still have their right to unlimited reproduction.

You need 93 million people (and change) to hit the 7 billion mark.
Not going to happen today or tomorrow.
Doing the rough math, it'll be a little under a year to hit the 7 billion mark
